No Matter You, Cannot Eat the Entire Cake

“Come in Khaleed and Kameelah, it’s time for lunch,” their mom called out to them. The children were playing statue. They would twirl each other around, then they'd stopped twirling and freeze in place. Speaking the same words at the same time, Khaleed and Kameelah said. “I bet I can beat you.” Kameelah, at that instant, turned and ran toward the house, leaving Khaleed behind. “Go wash your hands and do not leave water splashed everywhere. Clean up after yourselves,” their mom said. “Yes, Mommy,” they both responded. Khaleed, and Kameelah answered together often. It may have been because they are paternal twins. Besides this similarity, they also loved competing with one another. Well, maybe not so much loved. Sometimes, Khaleed, would become jealous of Kameelah. He believed their parents showed his sister favor over himself, she being a girl. Every time Khaleed had a chance, he would challenge Kameela, wanting to beat her and come in first. Mom said. “Sit down and say your prayer....

{PREDICTION}:How Islamist Will End Nigeria

By: Basil Okoh Nigerians are counting with hopeful optimism, the days to the end of Buhari’s tenure at Aso Villa in 2023, believing that come that year and the day May 29 2023, Buhari will hand the Presidency over to another, who everybody hopes will be a more humane manager to run the affairs of Nigeria. The new leader we all hope, will lead us away from the precipice that presently threatens Nigeria.  The Bola Tinubu Yoruba caucus of the APC are, against the evident signs to the contrary, believing that Buhari will find the usual way to win the presidential election for Bola Tinubu and hand over to the aged and sick man, to continue the unhinged roller coaster called Nigeria from where Buhari stops. The bad news is that there will be no Nigeria to hand over to anyone in 2023, not to Tinubu or to Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar. In truth, there will be no Nigeria to hand over to even the military as we presently know it.  Matters of the despoliation of the polity and infusion of ...

LEADERSHIP

I like the man who faces what he must With step triumphant and a heart of cheer; Who fights the daily battle without fear; Sees his hopes fail, yet keeps unfaltering trust That God is God; That somehow, true and just, His plans work out for mortals; not a tear Is shed when fortune, which the world holds dear, Falls from his grasp; better, with love, a crust Than living is dishonor; envies it, Nor loses faith in man; but does his best, Nor even murmurs at his humbler lot; But with a smile and words of hope, gives zest To every toiler; he alone is great Who by a life heroic conquers fate.

HUMANITY

It is darkest hour in our history, Dark nights shrouded with mystery, Keeping under heels and making mockery, Liberty torch shine but under label of slavery, We may hide cruel face under facial, Abuses hurl and utterances very racial, Delicate phase but survival very crucial, Efforts needed nor normal but very special, Colour cast, creed based on ethnic entity, Human race can’t maintain proper continuity, Change in attitude and mental state, Can’t risk entire race to a dangerous fate, Thousands of people flee homeland and live, Constant fear for life and prepared to dive, Decades of struggle not paying any result, More poverty, inhuman treatment and insult, Holocaust, partition and burning of homes, Green pastures and forest reserve in flames, Not sparing nature and still more blames, Is it deliberate attempt to play dirty games? Still we not miss a chance for double speak, Invade on neighbours, who are feeble and weak, Impose terms so as to strangulate and muffle, Win a war without bl...

The Nigerian Economy And Naira

THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY AND NAIRA     The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) recently devalued the Naira by seven percent against dollar in order to migrate towards a single exchange rate system for the local currency.      The currency exchange rate of Naira was at #197 to a dollar as at June 2015, but now exchanges at above #400.       However, the people are no longer dealing with the CBN official rate for transactions. Findings have revealed that Bureau De Change (BDC) operators get the dollar from the CBN at #393 but sell it for #494.       The major causes of the depreciation of Naira include the unnecessary importation of goods and services by Nigerians, and the deficit in local production and manufacturing of essential goods and services.       In order to prevent Naira from getting weaker, the government t must put the following into action. Firstly, the government must encourage the consumption of loca...

And as time goes on, chaos will set in, likely to be anchored by political 'harlots' (decampees) who believe that is the best way of doing things rather than supporting a party that will definitely win at the end of the journey.       This are the questions to ask ourselves; what will be the position of this country and we, citizens of this nation in the aftermath of this impending political journey? The answer is best known to you. Get your popcorn and sweet, catch cruise and follow the piece to the end.  I know many answers are awaited at the corner of your mind but preserve those answers till time demands for them. Wo...

Virtually everything we need to learn to help ensure our success has already been written and is available in books. You have probably heard the phrase, "readers are leaders," quite often. The reason is because it's true. Readers are leaders because they understand that knowledge is the key to success and reading books is a great source of that knowledge. TWITTER, NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT AND THE REST OF US

By Babatunde Ajose DCOB. In 2017, Farhad Manjoo, New York Times Tech Columnist warned that Tech companies are becoming more powerful than Government and might spell doom if nothing is done to curtail their activities . The Nigerian Government just banned the operation of Twitter indefinitely and compatriots are complaining bitterly. Those complaining don't want their freedom of speech trampled upon, I share their position and acknowledged that the Nigerian Government took an extreme position on Twitter no doubt but these Nigerians should also remember that there can only be a citizenship rights if there's a country . Looking at the activities of these Tech Giants around the world, various governments will have no choice than to take unpopular position on their activities regardless of their benefits especially in Nigeria where Twitter was openly soliciting for funds for the Anti-Government movement called #EndSars , where the President's Obituary was published and nothing...
