LEADERSHIP

I like the man who faces what he must With step triumphant and a heart of cheer; Who fights the daily battle without fear; Sees his hopes fail, yet keeps unfaltering trust That God is God; That somehow, true and just, His plans work out for mortals; not a tear Is shed when fortune, which the world holds dear, Falls from his grasp; better, with love, a crust Than living is dishonor; envies it, Nor loses faith in man; but does his best, Nor even murmurs at his humbler lot; But with a smile and words of hope, gives zest To every toiler; he alone is great Who by a life heroic conquers fate.

HUMANITY

It is darkest hour in our history, Dark nights shrouded with mystery, Keeping under heels and making mockery, Liberty torch shine but under label of slavery, We may hide cruel face under facial, Abuses hurl and utterances very racial, Delicate phase but survival very crucial, Efforts needed nor normal but very special, Colour cast, creed based on ethnic entity, Human race can’t maintain proper continuity, Change in attitude and mental state, Can’t risk entire race to a dangerous fate, Thousands of people flee homeland and live, Constant fear for life and prepared to dive, Decades of struggle not paying any result, More poverty, inhuman treatment and insult, Holocaust, partition and burning of homes, Green pastures and forest reserve in flames, Not sparing nature and still more blames, Is it deliberate attempt to play dirty games? Still we not miss a chance for double speak, Invade on neighbours, who are feeble and weak, Impose terms so as to strangulate and muffle, Win a war without bl

The Nigerian Economy And Naira

THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY AND NAIRA     The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) recently devalued the Naira by seven percent against dollar in order to migrate towards a single exchange rate system for the local currency.      The currency exchange rate of Naira was at #197 to a dollar as at June 2015, but now exchanges at above #400.       However, the people are no longer dealing with the CBN official rate for transactions. Findings have revealed that Bureau De Change (BDC) operators get the dollar from the CBN at #393 but sell it for #494.       The major causes of the depreciation of Naira include the unnecessary importation of goods and services by Nigerians, and the deficit in local production and manufacturing of essential goods and services.       In order to prevent Naira from getting weaker, the government t must put the following into action. Firstly, the government must encourage the consumption of locally manufactured goods and services in order to reduce pressure on the Naira.

2023 Politics: The Beginning Of Another Journey

2023 politics: The Beginning of Another Journey.      By Abdulsalam oniyere         Now, the journey of another miles is around the corner and politicians are running helter skelter from one political party to another in order to test their political validity and popularity before the race fully begins. And as time goes on, chaos will set in, likely to be anchored by political 'harlots' (decampees) who believe that is the best way of doing things rather than supporting a party that will definitely win at the end of the journey.       This are the questions to ask ourselves; what will be the position of this country and we, citizens of this nation in the aftermath of this impending political journey? The answer is best known to you. Get your popcorn and sweet, catch cruise and follow the piece to the end.  I know many answers are awaited at the corner of your mind but preserve those answers till time demands for them. Work with them as much as the love of this nation Par
