From Her Heart Straight To God's Ears

From her heart straight to God's ears. Between the red eyes, straight to earth lines.  From her look straight to the pool of uncertainties.  Little baby you can win, keep going. I'm Thomas Abidoye, a poet, journalist.

TRIBUTE TO MY FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND STREET BROTHERS WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY

TRIBUTE TO MY FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND STREET BROTHERS WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY. Some memories cannot be easily forgotten; I dearly miss the good times I had with wonderful people who are now laid to rest. Truly, death is inevitable, but why does Alimitu (death) fail to recognize the impact of good people and spare them to live longer? Growing up in Ejigbo town some years ago, I felt like the good people I was surrounded by would live on forever.  However, many of them have departed from this world, and death has not granted my plea on their behalf. Sadly, most of my street brothers in Lagos State have also fallen victim to this relentless force of death.  Nevertheless, we cannot evade mortality. Looking back, I remember these individuals for their contributions to my personal growth. I thank you all; you are legends and will forever be remembered. May your souls rest in peace.
